POLICY ON INACTIVE ACCOUNT



Definition: Inactive account can be described as an account where no activity is carried out for a very long period of time from the last transaction executed. Long period of time represents a period where no transactions have been executed for more than a year
 
  Characteristics of an inactive account in a broking house  
  Account should be non operational for more than one year from the date of last trade executed.  
 
  Reporting of Inactive Account  
  Marketing dept has to intimate to the compliance and back office about the discontinuance of service to a particular client from a given date.  
  If any client has intimated regarding discontinuance of services then the specific information should be informed to the concerned department.  
 
  Reactivation of inactive account  
  Any de activated client account can be reactivated by a phone call or mail or letter from the client. The same should be authorized by compliance officer in writing to the concerned dealer after verifying the same.
