
Mr. Vipul Ambani, a chemical engineer, began his career at Reliance Industries Ltd. in their Project & Industrial Engineering Group. Subsequently, he worked on and developed a computerised model for Techno Economic Feasibility Evaluation, specifically for their polypropylene project. His next assignment was that of Executive Assistant to the Managing Director of Reliance Industries and until 1993 he worked in close co-ordination with various groups towards achieving results in key areas.
In 1994 he founded Tower Capital and was involved in the development of the wholesale debt market, establishing a research backed debt intermediation division with appropriate systems and processes in place, which has now emerged as one of the top three debt intermediaries in the country. In 1998 he took over as chief executive officer of the company and expanded the business into more areas of the financial markets thereby generating newer revenue streams, which include the Equity Markets, the Derivative Markets and the Asset Advisory Group as individual profit centres. He has been involved in guiding these divisions towards gaining a leadership position in these segments of the market.
Mr. G. Ramachandran, or GR as he is popularly called, is a qualified chartered accountant from Price Waterhouse Coopers. He has over 20 years’ experience in investment banking, consulting, business processes and organisational development with stints in Ernst & Young, JM Morgan Stanley, Citibank, Reliance Capital and The Times of India Group, to name a few. He is currently a mentor capitalist and entrepreneur helping organisations capture the big picture and facilitate knowledge conversions to goal achievements. His role is that of a capable teacher training to fulfill the passions and aspirations of organisations and entrepreneurs in their objectives.
Ms. Preeti Ambani, a commerce graduate, has worked in the Wholesale Debt Market for almost two decades. Understanding the various Debt Market instruments and building relationships with various types of customers form the core of her experience.
As a founder of Tower Capital, she has been involved in initiating a customer centric approach to trading in the dealing room and has successfully implemented Customer Relationship Management in the organisation. At present as executive director, she is involved in monitoring and guiding all the divisions – be it Government Securities, Corporate Bonds or Derivatives, in the Wholesale Debt Market.
